Before You Begin
Most smart home devices require a stable WiFi network. Ensure your router covers all areas where you plan to install devices. Consider a mesh WiFi system for larger homes.
Smart Bulbs
- Screw in the bulb like any normal bulb
- Turn on the light switch (leave it on permanently)
- Open the manufacturer's app and follow pairing instructions
- Assign the bulb to a room
- Optional: Add to your voice assistant
Smart Plugs
- Plug the smart plug into a wall outlet
- Plug your appliance into the smart plug
- Open the app and pair the device
- Set schedules and automations as needed
Smart Cameras
- Choose mounting location (consider power supply and WiFi signal)
- Mount the bracket using provided screws/adhesive
- Connect to power (battery or wired)
- Pair with app and configure motion zones
- Adjust sensitivity and notification preferences
